Any plan to make an updated video on this?

I sincerely don't understand why people are still looking up to unikorn. I have one, and it is indeed good. But it's an old keyboard designed many years ago. The custom keyboard community has really evolved since then. So if I'am looking at unikorn now from today's perspective, it's just a "good" keyboard, not an "endgame" keyboard anymore. If now I hear people say that a keyboard is "as good as unikorn", I don't even take it as a compliment on that board. Because nowadays, being as good as unikorn just means being an average good keyboard.

I love the kailh switches mostly because of their lower pitched click sounds if you use the right case materials and keycap combo. Thought the zeal clickies are my dream switch

i wanna use the ihighground key caps do you know if that would be possible? the jjk or the aot ones, I don't know shit about keyboards or measurements?

Why wouldnt they leave the group buy open for like a week and let everybody who wants one order one, then just make however many are ordered? They do the group buys before actually making them, right?

I am not a big fan of 60%. I like 75% keyboards more because they work equally well on Win and Mac OSes

group buys stink. I will never ever dedicate my time to stalking a website until drop day. build a good keyboard and sell it, and I will buy it after doing extensive research. Otherwise, I will never buy your keyboard. And everyone should do the same. Group buys are unacceptable for a lot of reasons. They artificially drive up demand and limit supply, thereby taking advantage of people. They exclude potential buyers. They limit availability of information. There is no continuation. It's so annoying.

I may be late to this party but... is the custom plate you got has grooves in the mounting part, slot for the "o-ring" strips?

So many good boards are left behind. I picked up a Tengu ergo for around $200 because it's old, shows how much fucboi vibe is in mechs.

Andy I am once again here to bully you by saying that your modern keyboards sound worse than the ones from years ago on your channel. Og jwk and ANY gateron switch just have such good tolerances that there’s literally no keycap tick, which most modern sound tests (bsun and jwk especially) are plagued with. Return to gateron switches on brass

A local designer of ours is designing the Khora. It’s a Top mount 8pt top mount 65. I personally have never had a top mount 65 which is why I’m going in on it. Super excited to get in on the GB because the colorway is gonna be hot AF too.

No, they're not cheap copies, Cherry just founded the base design for all other manufacturers. The others took the design and improved on it. I like my Cherry MX Browns (lubed), but I like my Gateron Oil Kings much more. Gateron is hard to get over here in the Netherlands though, so you'd typically pay 1.5x the price over in the US, but in Euros.

to me, lately anyway, "endgame" is basically another word for "different than the rest". Like you said the market (65% especially) has been flooded with boards the often don't offer much different than their competitors. When something even a little more unique comes along, that also has a really nice sound and feel, THAT's where it's at. Speaking of unique, I just picked up an Aeroboard70 myself. Also didn't really get much hype from content creators. I absolutely love the cyberpunk-ish vibes and so far I really enjoy the sound and feel (only tried one type of build out of a lot of different types available). The macro column on the left is so nice for certain apps/games too!!!

Andy, maybe u should wait for krush65. It has o-ring/ top mount option and it has a heavy copper weight at the back to make it not sound hollow.

I just got a Pavlov 65 from KBDfans and tried al kinds of switches. It has 3 plates. FR4, PC and Alu. Foams, no foams. Top mount or tadpole mount.. It always sounds deep. Not really my sound profile. Tested Novelkeys x Kaihl Creams, HMX Macchiatos, Akko Cream Blue V3's.. Give that board a try. You'll love it. You'll love FR4 with case and platefoam with the Tadpole mount if you like some flex.
